The EXOTAC fireRod is a fantastic ferro rod for the outdoors and preparedness alike. Measuring in at 3 5/8" overall length and an american made anodized aluminum housing just to start. Underneath its threaded and o ring sealed cap, you'll find a storage compartment. Suitable for tinder tabs, pater purification tablets, or anything that fits inside. The fireROD's main feature is of course the ferro rod. 5/16" in diameter and sparks burning at nearly 5500 F. Completely waterproof and works when exposed to water, this thing is an absolute work horse and will not let you down. Don't forget to grab a replacement ferro rod to go with your fireROD.
