Travis Siewert - Lead Instructor/Co-Owner

“My passion in life is to prepare regular Americans for extraordinary events. Whether it's a car crash at 2 am in the middle of nowhere, an active shooter at the mall, or a house fire, my job is to teach you how to be prepared. When others can’t, you must.” - Travis Siewert

Travis is a stepfather of two children, professional shooter, NRA certified instructor, avid outdoorsman, preparedness nerd, gear aficionado, reloader, horseman, homesteader, and the list goes on. Travis’ preparedness journey started at 12 years old at the YMCA camp ELK, learning survival skills, wilderness knowledge, and fishing skills for the first time. From there he volunteered to be the preparedness person for his homeroom class in junior high. In high school, he took up backpacking, hiking, offroading, and shooting. After high school, he got his start in the high voltage line work industry. There, he learned that preparedness is the difference between life and death, quite literally. While in the trade, he received extensive training in knots, rigging, and planning. During that time, he started his career in firearms training as a student. He took classes under The Compound, United Defense Tactical, Knights Tactical, Carry Trainer, Trigger Burst Training Center, All Safe Defense, Eagle Rock Gun School, Fieldcraft Survival, and Warrior Poet Society. He trained under instructors from backgrounds including Special Forces, Navy Seals, MARSOC, Rangers, Dept. of Corrections, and Law Enforcement. Travis has taken numerous courses and workshops in: concealed carry, concealed carry combatives, pistol, rifle, long range rifle, pistol/rifle transitions, real world simulation, close quarters battle, vehicle close quarters battle, home security, situational awareness, and psychology.
